| Post subject: | Crack Repair |
First time poster. I have an old mandriola, a German arch back, with two cracks in the top. One is short, the other runs from the tailpiece to the recessed pick guard. Both are closed. How can I tell if these cracks have been repaired? Steve |

Good light and good magnifiers. Gently "flex" the crack from each side with your thumbs. If repaired should feel solid and no visual movement under magnification. You could also look inside with a light and mirror to see if there are any "cleats" added under the cracks or evidence of glue squeeze out. Mike J |
